Services for Darrel Eugene Woods, 78, who passed away Saturday, July 23, 2016, will be held 10 a.m., Thursday, July 28 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola. Burial with military rites will be in the Indianola I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Barb; children, Darrel "Scott" (Brenda) Woods, Douglas (Sean Linthicum) Woods, David Woods, Laura Hansen, John (Tina) Hansen and Dana Hansen; brothers, Devon "Butch" (Suzy) Woods and Donnie (Bonnie) Simmerman; grandchildren, Zachery (Danielle) Woods, Megan Woods, Mazie (Logan) Johnson, and Haley Hodges; and two great-grandchildren, Cambrie Johnson and Lilly Woods. Preceded in death by his father, Cecil Woods; mother, Freda Woods-Simmerman; step-father, Aubrey Simmerman; and brother, Doyle Woods.
Visitation will be held 5 to 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 27 at Overton Funeral Home where family will be present to greet friends. A Masonic service will be held 7:30 p.m. Memorials may be given to the family in his name for a charity of their choosing.Services
