Services for Darrel C. Mikles, 74, who passed away Sunday, October 12, 2008 at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, will be held 10:30 a.m., Thursday, October 16, 2008 at the Indianola Regular Baptist Church, of which he was a member.  Burial will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Indianola.

Mr. Mikles was born in Moulton, Iowa and graduated from the Centerville High School.  He retired as a truck driver from the United Parcel Service in 1997.  Darrel was devoted to his wife and family.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy; daughters, Vicki (Kevin) Pasion of San Jose, CA, Teresa (Patrick) Cooney of Indianola, Shelly (Charles) Deroian of Clovis, CA, and Susan Mikles of Des Moines; mother-in-law, Pauline Scurlock of Centerville; sister, Pauline Ewing of Montezuma, IA; twin brother, Doyle Mikles and brother, Ronald Mikles both of Grinnell; 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.  Preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Mary Mikles; and brother, Paul.

Visitation will be held 3 – 8 p.m., Wednesday, October 15 at the Indianola Regular Baptist Church in Indianola with family present from 6 – 8 p.m. to greet friends.  Memorials may be given to the Indianola Regular Baptist Church Building Fund.  On line condolences may be sent at www.overtonfunerals.com.
