Darcy Lynn (Schneider) Moeller, 51, passed away Thursday, December 10, 2015 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston, IA surrounded by her family.

Darcy was born on December 1, 1964 in Denison, IA to Richard and Mary Schneider. She graduated from Denison High School and received her Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Creighton University in 1990. Darcy married David Moeller on May 23, 1987 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Denison, IA.

Darcy was a woman of strong faith and enjoyed deep friendships with many.  She brought joy to her marriage, her family, her work, and her community.

Darcy was the Business Manager and Board Secretary for the Indianola Community School District for 19 years. She took great pride in her responsibilities which included the financial position of the school district, facilities, food service, and transportation.

Darcy loved Indianola, and was tirelessly involved in the community. She was a charter board member of the Indianola Community Youth Foundation and served as a volunteer and executive board member of the National Balloon Classic for over 10 years.  She was active in Dobbers Up and was a music and athletic booster.

Darcy's favorite title was Baseball Mom and she enjoyed countless days at the ballpark watching both of her sons play.

Darcy is survived by her husband, Dave; sons, Carsten (Hannah) Moeller and Daniel Moeller; mother, Mary Schneider; siblings, Heath (Laura) Schneider, Michele (Loren) Starkenburg, Wendy Schneider and Jason (Idunn) Schneider; and grandson, Frederick Moeller. She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Schneider.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, December 15 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Indianola, IA, followed by a private burial in the Indianola I.O.O.F. Memorial Gardens Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Monday December 14th from 3 to 7:30 p.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Indianola, IA with a rosary service to follow at 7:30 p.m. Family will be present from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Darcy's name to Indianola Community Youth Foundation, National Balloon Classic, Dobbers Up, or St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church.
