Danny Udall Law, born on August 18, 1948, in Maryville, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, in Indianola, Iowa, at the age of 76.

A dedicated educator, United States Army veteran, and lover of the great outdoors, Danny spent his career inspiring young minds as a teacher at Martensdale St. Marys, the Southeast Polk School District, and DMACC. His commitment to education and the success of his students left a lasting impact on countless lives.

Outside the classroom, Danny found his greatest joy in nature. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, always happiest with a rod in his hand, a hunting dog by his side, and the open sky above. He cherished his fishing trips to Canada and was a passionate supporter of conservation through his involvement with Pheasants Forever.

Above all, Danny was a devoted family man. He is survived by his beloved son, James Law (J.B.), and daughter-in-law, Stephanie Law. He was a proud and loving grandfather to Jackson (J.J.) Law and Elliott Law, who were the light of his life. His legacy of love, strength, and quiet wisdom will live on in them.

Danny's life was one of purpose, passion, and profound connection to both people and the land he loved. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Saturday April 26, 2025 from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. with a service to immediately follow at Overton Funeral Home. A graveside service will take place on Friday, April 25, 2025 at 11:30 a.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery in Maryville, Missouri. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Warren County Pheasants Forever.
