Visitation for Damon Matthew Hunter, 48, will be held 1 to 3 p.m. Friday, January 11 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola.   Inurnment of cremains will be held in the Belmont Cemetery, Milo, IA. following the visitation.

Damon loved the outdoors and spent every free moment hunting and fishing. He never met a stranger and was willing to take everyone to his fishing pond.  Loud and gregarious. When he was in a room, everyone knew it. Always the life of the party and quite the singer if you asked him. Damon will be missed greatly by his family and will live on in fond, yet loud memory with all who knew him.

Survivors include his parents, David and Ruth Hunter; daughter, Gwendolyn Hunter; sisters, Karen Schrader, Rebecca Hunter, Nicole Hunter, and Alisha Hunter, nephews, Shiloh and Kaden; nieces, Tarah, Madelaine and Alexandra.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
