Services for Dale V. Snelson, 80, who died Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown, will be held 10:30 a.m., Monday, December 27, 2010 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola. Burial with military rites will follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Des Moines. Dale is survived by his daughters, Deborah Snelson-Voshell of Colfax and Theresa Woods of Mingo; six grandchildren, one great-grandchild; three nieces and a nephew. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Cindy Jo Snelson; parents, William and Linnie Snelson; brother, Daniel Snelson and sister, Alice "Betty" McKinney. Visitation will be one hour prior to services on Monday at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola. Memorials may be given to the family in his name.
