Dale Eugene Phillips was born April 3, 1946 at home in Sandyville, Iowa to George and Nellie Phillips.  He was married to Sherry Kay Town on August 15, 1969.  They were blessed with two children, Lisa and Todd.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, getting together with family and friends, hugs from his grandkids, gardening, black powder rendezvous and church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Ken and Harold Phillips; father-in-law, Dwain (Bud) Town; and great niece, Nicole Phillips.  Dale will me missed by his wife, Sherry Phillips; children, Lisa (Dan) Greenwood, Todd (Tish) Phillips; 4 grandchildren, Ashley Clark, Brody Greenwood, Bryanna Greenwood, and Kyle Phillips all of Indianola; siblings, Holly (Jack) Schlotterback, Dewayne Phillips.

Visitation will be held 4 – 8 p.m., Monday, October 20, 2008 at Overton Funeral Home where family will be present to greet friends from 6 – 8 p.m.  Memorials may be given to
