Services for Dale H. Markussen, 89, who died Saturday, January 17, 2009 at the Carlisle Center for Wellness & Rehab, will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 22 at the Indianola Regular Baptist Church.  Graveside services with Military Rites will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday in the Cambridge Cemetery, Cambridge, IA.

Dale is survived by his wife, Evelyn; children, Pat (Paula) Markussen of Green Valley, AZ, Gwen (Charlie) Harpster of Des Moines, and Steven (Beth) Markussen of Seattle, WA; nine grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren; brother, Jack Markussen; sisters, Elna Wooden, Doris Koenig, Jean Mahaffey and June Suthard.

Visitation will be held from 4 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 21 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola where family will be present from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. to greet friends.  Memorials may be given to the Indianola Regular Baptist Church.  Online condolences may be sent at www.overtonfunerals.com.
