Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday September 8th at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola with burial at Wallace Cemetery in Wick, Iowa. Visitation will be from 4 – 8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home where family will be present to greet friends from 6 – 8 p.m.
Dale F. Hendrickson was born on the family farm near Wick, IA to Orval and Merle (Smith) Hendrickson on October 7, 1937. Dale graduated from Martensdale High School and retired from Armstrong Tire Company after 38 years. Dale enjoyed fishing, hunting, singing, and playing musical instruments with his family. Dale never missed the opportunity to see and talk about his grandchildren's sporting events and other family activities.
He was united to Anita F. Moreland on November 26, 1960, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, IA. He is survived by his wife, Anita and their three children: Connie Sue (Allen) Sievers, Granger, IA, Janet Kay (Edward) Landgrebe, Norwalk, IA, Brian Dale (Bridget) Hendrickson, Shellsburg, IA. He is also survived by, nine grandchildren, Ryan and Kyle Sievers, Alexander and Claire Landgrebe, and Nolan, Kaela, Joanna, Megan, and Leah Hendrickson.
Dale was the youngest of eleven children. He is survived by brothers, Rola (Carolyn) Hendrickson, Francis (Beverly) Hendrickson and sisters, Doris (Dale) Legg, Ilean Hayes, Edith Kerns, Inez (Paul) Green.
Dale is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Lowell and Donald Hendrickson and sisters, Wilma Hope and Lois Mason and granddaughter, Emily Sue Sievers.
Memorial contributions may be made to Iowa Health Home Care or the Taylor Hospice House.
