Funeral services for Cortney J'Ann Malone, age 13, will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 12th, at the First Assembly of God Church in Indianola.  Cortney died Saturday, December 9th, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.   Interment will be in the Indianola I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

Born in Des Moines, Cortney lived in Knoxville before starting kindergarten in Indianola.  She was an 8th grade student at the Indianola Middle School and involved in volleyball and softball.  She enjoyed water sports, camping, and playing the violin.  Cortney also had a love for music, her pets, the internet, and using her cell phone.

Cortney is survived by her parents, Brant and Tena Malone of Indianola; her sister, Cassandra; brother-in-law, Kory Befort; and nephew, Mac of Overland Park, KS; maternal grandparents, Wayne and Jan Neer of Indianola; great grandfather, Johnnie Lepley of Lacona; and paternal grandparents, Dean and Maggie Malone of Chariton.

Visitation will be 4 – 8 p.m., Monday, December 11, at the First Assembly of God Church in Indianola where family will be present to greet friends from 5 – 8 p.m.  Memorials may be given to the Cortney J'Ann Malone Memorial Fund.
