Mrs. Godwin was born in Van Wert, Iowa and graduated from Indianola High School.  She continued her education at Drake University receiving her Degree in Art.  She lived her adult life in Indianola as a homemaker and was an active member in her church and Habitat Humanity.  She loved art and sewing.

Survivors include her son, David of Indianola; daughters, Paula Godwin of Creston and Johna Godwin of Long Beach, CA; daughter-in-law, Beverly Godwin of Chevy Chase, MD; brother Alan Glascock of Webster City; 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held 3 – 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 15, at Overton Funeral Home where family will be present to greet friends from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.  Memorials may be given to the First United Methodist Church in Indianola.  On Line condolences may be sent at www.overtonfunerals.com.
