Connie was born January 29, 1952, the daughter of Charlie and Betty McCord in Nebraska City, NE. She moved to Indianola in 1966 with her family. She graduated from Indianola High School in 1970 and attended Northwest Missouri State University and graduated in 1974 with a teaching degree in Health and P.E.

She moved to Kansas to teach where she met and married Emil Dvorak. They had two children and eventually moved back to Indianola in1985. Connie taught health with the Indianola School System.

She is survived by her husband, Emil; daughter, Jessica Dvorak of Des Moines and son, Gordon and fiancé, Theresa Sonnleitner of Indianola; sisters, Karen McCord of Grant, IA and Mary McCord of Milton, FL.; brother, Charles McCord of Norwalk; and other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 21 at Overton Funeral Home where family will be present to greet friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.. Memorials may be given to the Indianola High School Health Department to help purchase a defibrillator.
