Cody L. Meyer, 34, of Indianola, passed away of unknown reasons, Sunday October 2, 2022.  A Celebration of Life will be held 4 to 6 p.m., Sunday October 9, 2022 at the Aurelia Golf Course and another gathering held 4 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, October 12 at 304 S Kenwood in Indianola.

Cody was a graduate of the Class of 2007 in Aurelia, IA.

He was very proud of his younger brothers and sister. He loved them very much. Just two days before he passed away, he posted how proud he was of his little (but bigger) brother Cade for being in the High School Homecoming Court.

Cody was a very talented artist. He had a passion for everything with a motor. He spent a lot of time bicycling, fishing, hunting, and long boarding. His creativity will be dearly missed. We were all so lucky to have known him, even if only for a short time.

Cody is survived by his mother, Erin (Kent) Ahnemann; siblings Camrin (Marissa) Meyer, Jacee (Trevor) Sangwin, and Cade Ahnemann; nephews, Daxson Meyer and Colsen Sangwin; grandmothers, Vicki Meyer and Claudia Ahnemann; and many other aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceeded in death by his grandparents, Norman and Joyce Ahnemann, and George Meyer; and aunt, Jill Meyer.

Memorials may be sent to Overton Funeral Home and given in Cody's name to the Indianola Fire Department and EMT's or the American Diabetes Association.  Cody had lived with Type 1 Diabetes since the age of 13.
