Services for Clarice Maebelle Van Patten Fry, 101, of Colorado Springs, CO. will be held 1:30 p.m. Saturday, September 18, 2021 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola.  Burial will follow in the New Virginia Cemetery, New Virginia, IA.

Clarice was born June 24, 1920 the daughter of Nicholas and Anise (Cornell) Van Patten. She was well known in the Indianola area.  Clarice was known for her dancing, country western singing and yodeling and was a member of Eastern Star.  She even performed at the Iowa State Fair.  She was the essence of happiness and joy and will be really missed.

She is survived by her children, Cheryl Ann Ray of Colorado and George Harper Ray of Illinois; granddaughter Elizabeth of Atlanta, and grandson, George Nick of Madison, WI.  She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands and many siblings.

The family will greet friends prior to services from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. at Overton Funeral Home.
