Services for Clarence "Pat" Hunter, 81, who passed away Saturday, October 11, 2014 will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 15 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola. Burial of cremains will be held at a later date in the Belmont Cemetery, Milo, IA. Pat had served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. In 1974 he enlisted in the Army Reserve program and retired as a Master Sergeant after 21 years of military service. He was a 60 year member of the Milo American Legion and had recently gone on the Korean Honor Flight. He had worked for Pirelli-Armstrong for 36 years. His family was the most important part of his life especially his grandchildren. Pat is survived by his wife Dennise; children, Lynette (Curtis) Paris, Tim (Pam) Hunter and Mark (Lisa) Hunter; step-children, Christa (Keith) Kuennen, Dawn (Phil Hodges) Dilla; siblings, Donna Greer, David (Ruth) Hunter and Joyce (Linda) Hunter; ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Edra; his first wife Marilyn Youmans Hunter; brothers, Jim, Donald and Jerry Hunter; sister, Mona Van Dorn and great granddaughter Kylie Hunter. Visitation will be held 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, October 14 at Overton Funeral Home where family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Milo American Legion Post # 263.
