Services for Clarence "Junior" Ball, 87, of Indianola will be held Monday, November 10, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., at Overton Funeral Home Indianola. A Masonic Service will be held at 9:30 prior to service and visitation will be held from 9:45 to 11:00 a.m.
Clarence was born in rural Warren County, Iowa, August 19, 1938, and lived there all his life. He died at Vintage Hills in Indianola on November 4, 2025.
Junior graduated from Indianola High School with the class of 1957. He was married to Norma Chandler, February 28, 1958, and they had three children; LuAnn, Kevin and David. He farmed while working as an inspector for John Deere, and after retiring from John Deere he continued to farm full time.
He has traveled to 49 of 50 states except Alaska. Clarence and Norma wintered in Florida and Arizona for many years. They enjoyed going on road trips, bus trips and cruises. They belonged to the Lost Dutchman RV Resort for 10 years in Apache Junction, Arizona where they met a lot of good friends.
He was a 65-year member of the Masonic Lodge, first Milo and then Indianola. He enjoyed going to coffee with the men at Liberty Center, Lacona and Indianola.
Clarence is survived by his wife, Norma Ball; children, LuAnn (Kent) Kasper and Kevin Ball; grandchildren, Amy (Kyle) Matzen, Emily Kaldenberg, Nick (Jaci) Lane, Brad (Shannon) Ball, Jill (Ben) Brommel, Bryson (Haley Hart) Ball, and Jordan Ball; great-grandchildren, Myles and McKinley Matzen, Brody Perez, Decker Lane, Mason, Everett, Owen Ball, Asher Brommel and soon to be baby Briar Ball; sister, Shirley Bunnell; brother, Jerry (Myra) Ball.
Clarence is preceded in death by his son, David Ball; parents, Clarence and Marie Ball; in-laws, Harry and Zula Chandler; and grandparents, Grover and Dorothy Weeks.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks contributions be made in Junior's memory to the Warren County Fairgrounds, Indianola Library or Suncrest Hospice.
Family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Vintage Hills Memory Care, Suncrest Hospice and especially the staff for giving them the extra time with Dad.
