Services for Clara V. Navratil, 78, who passed away Friday, December 9, 2016, will be held 10 a.m., Wednesday, December 14 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola with burial following in the Indianola I.O.O.F. Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Clara was born on March 22, 1938 to Paul and Lura Veasman. She attended grade school at Cedar #8 rural school. The family moved to Indianola, IA where she attended Hooser Row rural school and St. Marys High School.

Clara married Anton Navratil on April 25, 1959. They lived in Chicago, IL, Indianola, Omaha, NE and Lake of the Ozark, MO.

Clara was employed by Burlington and Northwestern  Railroad, Case Implement and Northwestern bell Telephone. Clara enjoyed playing golf, reading, water skiing and square dancing. She also volunteered for the Warren County Historical Society.

She is survived by her husband, Anton Navratil of Indianola; daughter, Janice Navratil of Omaha, NE; son, James Navratil of Des Moines; siblings, Viola Heins of Dexter, IA, Maxine Edwards, John Veasman and Lawrence Veasman all of Indianola, Virginia Smith of Weldon, IA, Donna Rieck of Des Moines, Patricia Galbert of Albany, GA an Michael Veasman of Colfax, IA; and many friends. She was preceded in death by many sisters and brothers.

Visitation will be held 4 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, December 13 at Overton Funeral Home where family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be given to the family to be decided at a later date.
