A Celebration of life gathering for Christopher McClellan, 48, of Indianola, IA, who passed away unexpectedly August 19th, 2020 in West Des Moines, IA, will be held 1 to 4 p.m., Monday, September 7 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola.

Christopher was born August 3rd, 1972 in Hammond, IN. He proudly served 8 years in the National Guard and Army Reserves as a heavy equipment operator. He was a self taught, senior software engineer and he took great pride in his work and accomplishments.

He deeply loved his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing, politics, and anything computer or software related.

Christopher is survived by his children, Eric, Thomas, Emilea, Kaitlyn, and Gregory McClellan; grandchildren, Dwaughn Carroll Jr, K'Leonna Carroll, Arjen Moederzoon, and Kamiyah Carroll; children by bond, Kelsey, Aidan, and Ashlyn Mckee and Chase Johnson; as well as many loved brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He is preceded in death by his twin grandsons, Javian and Josiah McClellan; son, Christopher McClellan; mother, Diane McClellan; and dad, Martin McClellan.
