Services for Chris LaFon Ludington, 56, of Indianola, who passed away Monday, August 26, 2024 will be held 7 p.m. Thursday, September 5, 2024 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola.  Visitation will be held prior to services from 5 to 7 p.m.  Cremation will follow services.

Chris was born on July 13,1968 at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines Iowa weighing in at 6lb, 4oz, and 19 inches long to William Donald Ludington and Charlotte Lynette Sterling Ludington. He grew up in Avon Lake, just outside of Carlisle. Growing up Chris loved lake life becoming quite the swimmer at 3 years old. To Charlotte's dismay she arrived home to find her son in the height of his glory hanging out at the ropes that he swam to himself.  Chris' love affair with all things "cool" began that day. He loved BMX racing and along with Brian, Kevin and Charlotte they set off many a weekend to race. Chris graduated from Carlisle High School in 1986, where he was an avid wrestler and participated in Football and Cross Country.

Following graduation, Chris began work in the floor covering industry with his dad Bill. Chris continued with flooring following his dad's retirement and made a good living for many years enjoying what he did.

Chris met and married Heidi Daly and to this marriage one son Trevor was born on September 1, 1994. Following Heidi's death, Chris met Kristen Cataldo and her son Anthony Sergio. On July 26, 1996 they welcomed son Parker. Chris loved friends (never knew a stranger), family, animals (especially his cat Eloise), the open road, and his mom Charlotte.

Chris is survived by his mother, Charlotte Davidson; sons, Trevor, Parker and Anthony; step-brothers, Mark Davidson and Brett Davison; step-sisters, Melissa Reid and Cherisse Davidson; step-niece Shayla Davidson. He was preceded in death by his father, William Ludington; step-father, Jim Davidson; step-brother, Matt Davidson; and step-niece, Hailey Reid.

Memorials in memory of Chris may be given to the family.
