CHERYL JEAN VAN CLARK

Memorial services for Cheryl Jean Van Clark, who died in her sleep on April 24, 2018 in Desert Hot Springs, CA, will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola, IA with burial following in the I.O.O.F. Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service.

Cheryl was born on February 22, 1951 to Elnora (Bowen) and Worth Van Clark. She grew up in Indianola and graduated from high school in 1969. She graduated from the University of California at Berkley and went on to get her Master's Degree. She obtained her law degree from the University of Iowa. She had worked for Kaiser Engineering in Oakland, CA, and the University of Iowa before attending Law School. Cheryl practiced family law in Gilroy, CA. She had great passion for helping her clients with legal matters.

She is survived by her husband, David Denzler of Gilroy, CA; son, Damon Webb and his wife Lindsey and children, Elle and Ty of Bloomington, IL; step-daughter, Laura Denzler and her children, Rose, Danny, Kathy and Josh of Plainfield, IN; step-son, Chris Denzler and his wife Michelle of Watsonville, CA and daughter, Kayla; sisters, Andra (Norm) Kennedy, Lynne Van Clark (Curt Sorteberg), Ellen (Rick) Gripp all of Indianola; a brother, John (Ivanka) of Lynnwood, WA; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and an aunt.
