Charlotte Rollings passed away Friday, October 18, 2024 at The Cottages in Pella, Iowa. This was the day the Lord called Charlotte home to be in his arms forever.

Charlotte was born in Ft. Dodge, Iowa, June 29, 1942, to Wilford and Anna (Hirschberg) Wilkinson. Growing up on a dairy farm southwest of Gowrie, she enjoyed working with the animals, 4H, and the youth activities in her local church. During the seventh grade, she contracted Rheumatic Fever and had to attend school that year via a speaker box, which she hated.

After graduation, she went to work for Bankers Life, as a keypunch operator. While attending a Young Adults Group at the YMCA, she met the love of her life. The Lord must have thought this was a match made in Heaven, as Charlotte and Marvin were able to get their marriage on the day President Kennedy was killed. Being unable to start a family, they adopted their first son Chuck in 1969. Charlotte always told Chuck he was special because they got to choose him. Along the way, after moving back to the farm in 1971, Chris and Curt arrived. After leaving the farm in 1982, Charlotte did accounting work, as well as, doing the Financial Giving records for Peace Lutheran Church for many years. Being a very proud mother, she attended all of the boy's various school events. She enjoyed prayer groups and working on many different church functions.

She leaves behind her husband of nearly 61 years, Marvin; sons, Chuck (Scott Adam), Chris (Brandi), and Curt (Jamie); along with 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She also leaves sister, Barbara (Dick) Evans and brother, Ken (Karen) Wilkinson. Preceding her in death were her parents, Wilford and Anna Wilkinson; and in-laws, Louis and Ruth Rollings.

Services will be held 10 a.m., Friday, October 25, 2024 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Indianola. Visitation will be held 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, October 24, 2024, at Peace Lutheran Church in Pella. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes memorials, in memory of Charlotte, to be given to Wesley Life Hospice.
