Charles "Chuck" Kail, 79, of Johnston, passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2024, in West Des Moines.

Charles was born to Harold and Doris Kail in Des Moines and then grew up in Carlisle in his early years. Chuck served in the United States Army and was stationed in Fairbanks, Alaska.

After returning from Alaska, he married the love of his life Nancy Searles in 1971 and resided in Johnston for over 45 years. Chuck was employed by Dahl's Foods and served several locations during his employment. His wife Nancy loved their pets all 11 over the years, some were even pet therapy trained. They enjoyed traveling in their motorhome and cruising in their corvette.

Chuck is survived by his brother, Rick who resides in Avon Lake. He is preceded in death by his wife, Nancy.
