CHARLES "CHUCK" HARBAN Indianola Services for Charles "Chuck" Harban, 90, who passed away, Saturday, June 14, 2014 at The Village in Indianola, will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 18 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola with burial following in the Wallace Cemetery, Wick, Iowa. Visitation will be held prior to services from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Chuck was born on November 24, 1923 in Des Moines, Iowa the son of Joseph and Gladys (Morgan) Harban and graduated from East High School in 1943. He retired from the State of Iowa as a Chief Engineer last working at Oakdale Medical Correction Facility. He enjoyed hunting in his youth, fishing, golfing, mushroom hunting, games and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Chris Harban; brothers, Joe and Robert Harban; sisters, Gladys Anderson, Mary Powell and Mable Wilhite; and daughter-in-law Kathy Harban. He is survived by his daughter, Judy Robinson; son, Kim (Joyce) Harban; eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 15 great-great grandchildren.
