Obituary

CHARLES A. AMOS Indianola Charles A. Amos, 81, died Sunday, March 9, 2014 at home. Services will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, March 15 at the Center Chapel United Methodist Church, west of Indianola, with burial of cremains in the Indianola I.O.O.F. Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Amos was a lifetime resident of Warren County where he farmed and raised purebred Hereford cattle. He served in the United States Army from 1954 to 1956. He also served his community for many years on the Warren County Fair board. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Thelma, of Indianola; his son, Craig (Denise) of Indianola; daughter, Carla (Mark) Brinkman of Williamsburg; grandchildren, Nathan (Jaime) Brinkman of Adel and Alison Brinkman of Ames; and granddog, Tucker. He was preceded in death by his brother Larry, and parents Charles and Mildred Amos. Friends may call Saturday, March 15 at Center Chapel United Methodist Church, where the family will greet friends from 9:30 to 11 a.m., prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to either Center Chapel United Methodist Church or Unity Point Hospice.
