Graveside services for Carolyn Louise Watts, 81, of Indianola, who passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2020, at home, will be held 11:30 a.m., Saturday, August 22, 2020 in the Indianola I.O.O.F. Cemetery.  The visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. at Overton Funeral Home prior to services.

Carolyn worked at Good Samaritan, Younkers warehouse, Caseys for 12 years, Equitable Life and retired from Continental Life. She really enjoyed her retirement by just staying home and watching the Home Shopping Network and buying grocerys for everybody. She always had a bag of treats to send with you home. She like to take bus trips with her friends to the casino once in awhile. She really loved spending time with her grand kids and got a kick out of Chester, the boxer, when he would visit. But her most favorite thing to do was talk on that phone. She was always a giver and said everything will work out. She lived life to the fullest. Mike and the grand kids always liked to get her wound up. If you had a favorite place to eat or shop, she would always mail you coupons that she would cut out for you. She never had a computer, but always found something to do. She will be missed.

Carolyn is survived by her sons, Mike (Stacey Demory) Watts and Roger (Cyndi) Watts; grandchildren, Tanner, Tori, Seth, and Vance Watts and Justin Krutsinger; and four great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Dean LeRoy Watts; parents, John Floyd and Helen Emiliene (Rodgers) McElwee; son, Larry Hardin, and brothers, Merrill and Donald McElwee.
