A Celebration of Life Service for Carolyn Faye McKee, 83, of Norwalk, who passed away Monday, November 4, 2024 will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at the Norwalk Christian Church.  The family will greet friends prior to services from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.  Inurnment of cremains will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Iowa Veterans Cemetery, Adel, Iowa.

Carolyn was born on February 3, 1941 in Indianola, Iowa the daughter of Martin Dale and Velma E (Amos) Beck.  She graduated from Indianola High School.  In 1959 she met and married Dewey McKee.  To this union three children were born, Craig, Cathy and John.

Carolyn worked Dahl's Food Store for more than 30 years and then worked for Fareway in West Des Moines.  She enjoyed fishing, cooking, anything with the grandkids and her immaculant yard work.

Carolyn is survived by her children, Craig (April) McKee and Cathy Catron; grandchildren, Eli McKee, Tyler (Ashley) McKee, Ashley McKee and Chelsea (Jonathan) Halsey; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Ival Beck; and many nieces, nephews and other family. She was preceded in death by her husband Dewey McKee; parents, Martin and Velma (Amos) Beck; son, John McKee; grandson, Trevor McKee; siblings Harold, Glen, Eldon and Eugene Beck and Sharon Walton.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in memory of Carolyn to the Norwalk Christian Church.
