Services for Carolyn Coleen Lundberg, 87, of Indianola, Iowa, who passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2024 in Des Moines, will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola, with burial following in the Belmont Cemetery, Milo. Visitation will be held prior to services from noon to 2 p.m., at the funeral home.

Carolyn graduated Milo High School in 1953. She and her late husband, Paul, owned a small grocery store in Milo for many years. When they closed, she worked for Kirke Van-Orsdel for 10 years before working for the Postal Service.

Carolyn enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing, mushroom hunting, leather work, and of course cooking and baking. She baked pies for the farmers market every week and her coffee cake was a staple at every family meal. Their travels took them to many states and national parks where they took many beautiful pictures.

Carolyn is survived by her daughters, Kathy (Rusty) Long and Kristy Wilson; daughter-in-law, Linda Wickett; step-children, Steve Lundberg and Becky Lundberg King; four grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; four step great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Lundberg; son, Kevin Wickett; parents, Merrill Dougherty, Florene Arnold; and step-father, Daryl Arnold. Memorials may be given, in memory of Carolyn, to EveryStep Hospice Kavanagh House on 56th Street in Des Moines.
