Carolyn, the youngest of thirteen children, was raised in the Medora farm community and graduated from Southeast Warren High School. An Indianola resident her entire adult life, Carolyn was a homemaker and devoted Christian, whose family always came first. She was preceeded in death by her husband Tom, four brothers and two sisters.

Surviving are a son Dwaine (Jody) of Tonganoxie, KS: a daughter Jolene (Allen) Crouse of rural Ackworth; three brothers Ray Stalter of Indianola, Keith Stalter Marysville, WA, and Jim Stalter of Adel, IA; three sisters, Mary Adamson, Rose Marie Knoer and Shirley Kalbus, all of Indianola; and two granddaughters, Bailey and Cameron Kay Knouse.

Visitation will be held 2:00 – 7:30 p. m., Tuesday, February 26, at Overton Funeral Home, where the family will be present to greet friends 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be given to her family.
