Services for Carolyn Louise King, 80, of New Virginia, who passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2025 will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at Overton Funeral Home.  Visitation will be held prior to services from 12:30 to 2 p.m.  Burial will follow services in the Indianola I.O.O.F. Memorial Gardens Cemetery

Carolyn was born on August 17, 1944 in Knoxville, Iowa to Ulin and Norma Goering.  She graduated from Indianola High School in 1962.  On August 28, 1964, she married Donald King, the love of her life.  They celebrated 55 plus years together.  This union created two very special sons:  David and Daniel.

Carolyn is survived by her sons David King and Daniel (Tosha) King; grandchildren, Cody Edwards and Lacey (David) Jones and Dillon King, Dustin King and Kelsey King, Keely Bradley and Brayden Brooks; ten great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild on the way; brothers, Alan and Merrill Goering; sister, Janella (Don) Sandy; nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.  She was preceded in death by her husband Donald King, parents, Ulin and Norma Goering; grandson, Darren; granddaughter, Naomi Hudson; daughter-in-law Shelly Vander Tuig and sister-in-law Linda Goering.

Memorials in memory of Carolyn may be given to Jesus' Right Hand Ministries, 413 West Street, New Virginia, Iowa 50210.
