Carolyn Sue Herrick, 83, formerly of Indianola, Iowa, passed away peacefully at home in Green Valley, Arizona, on Monday, November 18, 2024.

Carolyn was born May 21, 1941 to Glenn Arthur Wilkins and Anna Maude (Cox) Wilkins. Her family lived in Redfield, Winterset and Van Meter before moving to Indianola in 1949. She graduated from Indianola High School in 1959 and married Allan Herrick shortly after graduation.

Carolyn worked for many years at Central Iowa Insurance. She was very active in golf and enjoyed volleyball. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Carolyn is survived by her husband, Allan Herrick; children, Michael, Michele, Mark, Melissa; grandchildren, Joshua (Karri) Klein, Misty (Ben) Dorman, Dylan Stuflick, Nina (Anthony) Nell, Heather Houston, Dakota Hall; great-grandchildren, Logan Klein, Abigail Bratko, Isabelle Klein, Inara and Malak Dorman, Harper Futch; siblings, Linda (Donald) Freeman; and many nieces, nephews and other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and sisters, Joyce Harlow and Thelma Amos.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, November 30 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola, with burial following in the IOOF Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Indianola. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m., prior to service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Carolyn's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
