CAROL WARRICK MICHAEL Indianola Memorial services for Carol Warrick Michael, 78, who passed away peacefully at home Sunday, September 21, 2014, will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, September 27 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola. Inurnment of cremains will be held in the Indianola I.O.O.F. Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Carol was born April 11, 1936 in Ravenna, Nebraska to Marion "Bud" Warrick and Mary M (Bole) Warrick. They moved to Missouri Valley, Iowa where her father and mother owned and managed the local theater "The Rialto" in town. Carol was very talented in singing, playing piano, and graduated with honors as Valedictorian of her class in 1954. Shortly after high school she met a handsome young man from Logan, Iowa "Daniel S P Michael Jr.. They started their lives together and moved to Colorado, eventually ending up in Des Moines, Iowa to work. They moved to Indianola, Iowa in 1964 to raise their family. Carol worked for several companies, (Iowa Pack, Wycoff-Horn Heating and Cooling, Doctor's Park Corporation, as a bookkeeper and office manager. Then she helped start their family business, Dan's Carpet Cleaning. She was an big fan of Elvis Presley, Neal Diamond, Kenny Rogers, and loved to dance. She loved the outdoors and always had a smile. Her wit was inspiring and contagious. She is survived by her children, Marion Jay (Dianne) Michael of Ogden, Teri (Jim) Mason and Dan S. Michael III all of Indianola; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Mary (Bole) Warrick and husband, Daniel S. Michael Jr. She is also survived by four sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews, as well as many friends. Visitation will be held 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home prior to services.
