CAROL A. KRULTZ

Carol Anne Krultz, 65 of Des Moines, wife, mother, nana, sister and friend, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, after a hard-fought battle with cancer on January 15, 2019.

A loving mother and homemaker, you could always count on Carol's nurturing spirit to lend a helping hand, especially to those in need. She loved all animals, was kind and compassionate and always current on sports (especially the Packers), pop culture and décor. You'd be hard pressed to find someone who loved pranks as much as Carol - she had a witty, smart sense of humor and a contagious laugh that would fill a room.

Carol was born to the late Leslie and Dorothy Renaud on May 30, 1953. She attended St. Joseph Academy, where her energetic personality attracted lifelong friends. She married the love of her life, Gary Krultz, on May 28, 1977. Together, the couple raised two children, Tia (Justin) Harris (children Jackson and London) and Adam (Christina) Krultz (son Carter) in Johnston. Carol is survived by her sister, Jane (Tom) Person; best friends, Ann Pilcher and Darlene Cross; and several loving relatives and close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Paul Renaud.

Carol requested an intimate service with her immediate family. She will rest in peace close to her parents at Highland Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers and cards, memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude's or the Animal Rescue League.
