Memorial services for Carmen Eileen Sorter, 61, who passed away Thursday, March 1, 2018 at home, will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, March 3 at the Martensdale Community Church in Martensdale, Iowa.

She was born, on September 7, 1956 in Osceola, Iowa to Sylvester and Marion (Norman) Hayworth.  She graduated from Martensdale High School in 1974.  She was united in marriage to Jerry Sorter on September 30, 1988.

Carmen worked at Great Plains Bag Corporation, Smart Industries Inc., then J & C Express Delivery Company.  Carmen enjoyed racing and watching Wheel of Fortune.

She is survived by her husband Jerry; children Rick Arnold, Trinity Arnold; step children John and Rachel Sorter; grandchildren, Silas, Alex, Trinity Jr. Arnold and Majesty McIntyre; Bianca Kellow, Jackson Connelly, Wyatt Arnold, Iva Belle, Lincoln, Ford, Hailey and McKayla Sorter; aunts and uncles, Joe and Roberta Hayworth, Anita (Don) Randol, Robert (Cheryl) Norman and Maxine Martens, and a host of other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, Ralph and Zolla Norman, Larkin and Lou Hayworth.
