Obituary

Services for Carl H. Lundahl, 84, who died Thursday, January 8, 2009 at the Indianola Good Samaritan Center, will be held 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, January 13, at Trinity United Presbyterian Church in Indianola of which he was a member.  Burial will follow in the Indianola I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

Carl was born in Des Moines, Iowa; graduated from East High School; and served in the Naval Air Corps during World War II.  Upon returning from the war, he attended Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis, MO.  In 1950 upon moving to Indianola, he opened a chiropractic clinic which he retired from in 1991.  Carl was a member of the Warren Lodge #53 A.F. and A.M., Shriners, Indianola Chamber of Commerce and a 55 year member of the Indianola Noon Lions Club with perfect attendance.  He volunteered at the Indianola Helping Hand and loved to play golf.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy; children, Kevin (Karen) Lundahl of Laramie, WY, Carla (Dan) Gripp of Indianola and David Lundahl of Casper, WY; 16 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 3 – 8 p.m. Monday, January 12, at Overton Funeral Home with family present to greet friends from 6 – 8 p.m.  Masonic services will be held 7:30 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.  Memorials may be given to Kiya Koda Humane Society or his church.
