Services for Carl D. Christensen, 60, who died Monday, October 23, 2006 at his home, will be held 10:30 a.m., Friday, October 27 at the First Assembly of God Church in Indianola. Graveside services with military honors will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday in the Graceland Cemetery, Knoxville, IA.

Carl had served honorably in the United States Marines during Vietnam.

He is survived by his daughter, Sarah Wachter and her husband, Philip of Lacona; grandchildren, Luke and Aaron; brother, Douglas Christensen of Des Moines. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Lillian Christensen; brother, Edward Christensen Jr. and sister, Barbara Bump.

Visitation will be held 4:00 - 8:00 p.m., Thursday, October 26 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola where family will be present to greet friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
