Services for Caleb Wayne Johnson, 19, who was in a fatal auto accident on Sunday, July 18, 2010 will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 24 at the First United Methodist Church 307 West Ashland Ave. Indianola, IA with burial following in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

Caleb was born in Kansas City, Missouri and moved to Indianola, Iowa in the spring of 1992.  He attended Irving Elementary Grade School, Indianola Middle School, and graduated from Indianola High School in 2009.  Caleb was an employee of Heartland Coop in Indianola and also worked for a number of farmers in his spare time and on weekends.

Caleb was a member of Boy Scout Troop 123, and was a member of the FFA while in High School.  Caleb was also a member of the First United Methodist Church in Indianola.  While a member there, Caleb helped gather donations and pack up ocean cargo containers to help with a ministry in Liberia.  Caleb enjoyed working on trucks, tractors, and anything else mechanical.  He liked being in the "out of doors", was a farmer, and an avid fisherman as well.

He is survived by his parents, Brent Johnson and Kerry Johnson; brother, Kyle Johnson; sister, Bailey Johnson; grandparents, Paul & Gloria Johnson.

Visitation will be held 4 – 8 p.m. Friday, July 23 at Overton Funeral Home where family will be present from 5 – 8 p.m. to greet friends.   Memorial donations can be made in Caleb Johnson name to the First United Methodist Church.  Online condolences may be sent at www.overtonfunerals.com.
