Services for C. Lavere Kinnaird, 89, who died Thursday, December 7, 2006, at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 11 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola.  Burial will follow in the New Virginia Cemetery.

Lavere was born in Squaw Township of Warren County, Iowa and graduated from Indianola High School.  He had farmed his adult life in Warren County primarily in the Medora Community.  He was a member of the Medora United Methodist Church and the Neophyte Lodge #301 in New Virginia.

He is survived by his daughters, Kyle (Dale) Kirkpatrick of Palmer, NE and Keeta Kinnaird of Hamilton, OH; brother, Leland (Helen) Kinnaird of Davenport; brother-in-law, Merrill (Gertie) Simmerman of Indianola; 2 grandchildren, Scott (Cindy) Kirkpatrick of LaVista, NE and Sherry (Russell) Kosmicki of Cairo, NE; 6 great grandchildren, Zachary and Kelsey Kirkpatrick, Daren, Amber and Carmen and Shane Kosmicki.

Visitation will be held 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. service time, Monday, December 11 at Overton Funeral Home.  Memorials may be designated to the New Virginia Rescue or Medora Ladies Aide.
