Services for Burline Yates, 88, who died Friday, October 14, 2011, will be held 10 a.m., Monday, October 17 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola with burial in the Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Des Moines. Beany is survived by her husband, David Yates; daughters, Janet Goode of West Des Moines and Melanie Yates of Des Moines; three grandchildren, Bradley Goode, Brett Goode and Beth Ann Weber; and eight great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Burlie and Sadie Thorn; three sisters and one brother. Visitation will be held 1 to 4 p.m., Sunday, October 16 at Overton Funeral Home where family will be present to greet friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Eastern Star services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
