Celebration of Life services for Bruce Gerald Crawford, 37, who passed away Friday, September 17, 2021, will be held 7 p.m., Friday, September 24, 2021 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola. Cremation will follow services. Visitation will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. prior to service at the funeral home.

Bruce was born to Julie and Kevin Crawford as a preemie baby that struggled to make it to 10 pounds until he was 6 months old, at which point the growing never stopped. He always enjoyed computers even into his adult life where he became a gaming extraordinaire. Bruce graduated from Indianola high School in 2003. After graduation, he found a joy working as a drywall hanger until finding his lifetime job at HyVee distribution warehouse.

Bruce achieved a 2 ^nd Degree black belt in Taekwondo where he encouraged students to become there best. Bruce enjoyed bowling league in high school, his card games; Pokémon, Dragon Ball Z, Magic and others. He was an avid Pokémon Go hunter having reached max level, then starting over again.

He was passionate in everything he did. He enjoyed time with family and friends; as he had a heart of gold. I think he was a 12 year old that never grew up.

Bruce is survived by his parents, Kevin and Julie Crawford; siblings, Joseph (Christine) Crawford, Allisha (Earl) Crawford, Mark Crawford, Jon (Shelby) Crawford, Eileen Crawford; nieces and nephews, Tiffany, Alyssa, Natalie, Gabriel, Grayson, Aaden, Paige, Gavin, Garrett, Louellen, Jack; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death his grandparents, Tootie and Kenny Crawford, Ellen and Dock Emery Sr.; aunt, Joyce Reinert.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Kiya Koda Humane Society in his name.
