Celebration of life services for Brian Martin Keeney, 46, who passed away Tuesday, December 28, 2021 in Marshalltown, will be held at  7 p.m., Monday, January 3, 2022 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola. Visitation will be held two hours prior to service from 5 to 7 p.m., where family will be present to greet friends. Private family inurnment will take place in the Belmont Cemetery, Milo, IA.

Brian lived most of his life in Milo, IA. As a child, he loved running around exploring and partaking in various activities on the farm he grew up on, including fishing with his siblings, David and Jackie, and his father, Martin. He also took to raising cows when he got older. Brian enjoyed being with family, and he especially enjoyed family gatherings. He was extremely proud of his children, Bryce and Brianna, and always mentioned how much he loved them. He lived life to the fullest and loved with all his heart - there was nothing he wouldn't do for his loved ones. Brian always said, "We have the best family ever."

Until his final moments, Brian lived with his fiancée, Julie, in Marshalltown, IA. They are described as two peas in a pod; they loved each other unconditionally. He will be greatly missed. As we always say, it is not 'goodbye,' it is 'see you later.'

Brian is survived by his children, Bryce (Hayden) Keeney, Brianna Keeney; fiancée, Julie Gomez; father, Martin Keeney; siblings, David (Crystal) Keeney, Jackie (Dustin) Purcell; nieces and nephews, McKenzie and Zach Keeney, Shay, Beau and Shelby Purcell. He is preceded in death by his mother, Becky Lea Keeney.

Memorials may be made to the family in his name for a contribution at a later date.
