Brian Bruce Craven, 58, passed away at the home of his partner Sue Chopard, on April 21, 2020, after a two year long battle with cancer.

Brian was born in Boone on December 25, 1961 to Cleo and Ferne Craven. He spent the majority of his life in Norwalk to raise his family.

Brian spent the better part of 30 years working in Des Moines for Waste Connections. He had a passion for hunting and fishing, spending time with his grandkids, going to concerts, hockey games with Sue, and vacationing in Mexico with his children. He had a love for silly jokes and changing the lyrics to songs. He will be missed by a very large extended family.

He leaves behind his daughter, Courtney; sons, Jordan and Taylor; six grandchildren; and sister, Christie Gehringer. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Brandon; and brother-in-law, Marty Gehringer.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions there will be a private family burial of cremains. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be given to the family in his name.
