BOYD EUGENE PLOWMAN Indianola Boyd Eugene Plowman, 65, passed Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at the Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines. Per Gene's request, cremation will take place with a Celebration of his life to be held 11 a.m., Saturday, January 26 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola with the family present to greet friends one hour prior to service. Gene was born July 5, 1947 in Dayton, OH, the son of Boyd and Mary (Ingram) Plowman. He lived in Ohio, Indiana, Florida and Iowa. Gene spent most of his working years as a contractor alongside his wife, Ruth. Survivors include his wife Ruth, five children, five grandchildren, his special friends Jenny and Lois and his beloved Fritz. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. The family would like to thank the staff (his girls) at Taylor House for their tremendous care of Gene. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family in his name.
