Bonnie (Morris) York, 93, entered her heavenly home on Thursday October 24, 2013 at 530am at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa. She was born on April 11, 1920 to William and Mary Frances Morris in Des Moines and on October 25, 1941 she married Francis L. York in Des Moines. Francis passed away August 15, 1997 in Indianola. Bonnie had three brothers, Tom, Richard, Joe and a sister Gwen Taggart, all of whom are deceased. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. She is also survived by many, many dear friends, among them her former neighbor Mary Jacobs. Her great sense of humor will be missed by all. Bonnie was a member of Temple of God Church in Indianola. Bonnie faithfully exercised at the pool at Simpson College and enjoyed walking with her friends. She was a Dental Assistant for the late Dr. Palmer in Indianola. There will be a visitation beginning at 1pm Saturday, November 2 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola with memorial services beginning at 2pm with Pastor John Long officiating. Burial will follow the service at the IOOF Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Indianola. Memorial in Bonnie's name may be made to the Temple of God Church, the Kiya Koda Humane Society and the Wounded Warriors Project in care of the funeral home. Bonnie was a donor to the Iowa Donor Network.
