Services for Bonnie M. Shannon, 81, who passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 10 at Overton Funeral Home with burial following in the St. Charles Cemetery. She is survived by her children Debbie (Tom) Overholser and Fred (Han) Oliphant III; sisters, Leona Roll and Norma Keller; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Jenny Jenkins; sisters, Wanda and Patty; and her husband Rex Shannon. Visitation will be held Friday, May 9 at Overton Funeral Home from 4 to 7 p.m. were family will be present from 5 to 7 p.m. Memorials may be given to Kiya Koda Humane Society.
