Obituary

Funeral services for Bonnie Fisher, 98, who died Monday, March 3, 2008, at the Indianola Good Samaritan Center, will be held 10:30 a.m., Saturday, March 8 at Overton Funeral Home with burial following in the I.O.O.F. Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Bonnie Marguerite Fisher was born March 14, 1909 in rural Warren County, Iowa, the daughter of Edwin and Sitha (Bishop) Dey.  She graduated from Indianola High School and was united in marriage to Roy Fisher on May 29, 1930.  She was a country school teacher and also worked as an Egg Candler for the Produce House in Indianola.  She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, James Whitcomb Riley Club, U.M.W. Elizabeth Circle, Bible Club, F.I.S.H. Organization, Warren Historical Society and was also a 4-H leader.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brother, Leslie Dey; and sisters, Dorothy Allen and Opal Dey.  She is survived by her children, Robert (Connie) Fisher of The Colony, TX, Gary (Virginia) Fisher of Indianola, and Beverly (David) Sinclair of Melrose; 9 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held 3 – 8:00 p.m.  Friday, March 7 at Overton Funeral Home where family will be present from 6 – 8:00 p.m. to greet friends.  Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church.
