BONNEITTA M. SONNENBURG Indianola Bonneitta Marie Martin Sonnenburg, 95, was born January 5, 1918 in the mining town of Hocking, IA in a miner's cabin 4 to 5 miles south of Albia, IA just off highway 5. She passed away Sunday, November 24, 2013 at The Village in Indianola, IA. Bonneitta was always active in her church both in Albia and Indianola. In Albia she was president of the United Methodist Women and belonged to Queen Esther Circle. After moving to Indianola she was chairman of her Rachel Circle several times and secretary of the United Methodist Women. In Indianola she worked for 21 years for J.C. Penny's and opened the catalog desk as the manager. She was also president of the Business and Professional Women. A memorial service will be held 3 p.m., Saturday, November 30 at The Village at 1203 North E Street in Indianola, IA. Inurnment of cremains will be held 2 p.m., Monday, December 2 in the Oakview Cemetery in Albia, IA. She is survived by her children, Ronnie Sonnenburg (Connie) of Prescott, AZ, David Sonnenburg in Spring, TX, twins, Cathie Fuller (Steve) of Indianola and Carole Stufflebeam (Bob) of Haiti; grandchildren: Jeffrey Sonnenburg, Bradley Sonnenburg (Penny), Matthew Sonnenburg (Diana), Carrie Kapral (Mark), Kasey Riley (Morten), Katheryn Dixon, Kimberly Williams, Doug Fuller, Scott Fuller, Denise Fuller, Laura Brown (Jimi), Carie Ekerholm (Adam), and Erica Langebartels (Matt); great-grandchildren, Kelly, Nicole and Jake Sonnenburg, Saylor and Kole Sonnenburg, Mercedes Fuller, Molly and Carter Brown, Per, Svea and Anya Ekerholm, Levi, Jordan and Isabella Dixon, Brandi, Cody and Alex Williams, Jenny, Jessie and Joe Kapral, Alex, Hadassah, Malachi and Elijah Langebartels; and great-great granddaughter, Jaylissa Dixon. She is also survived by two sisters, Eloise Holland of Woodridge, IL and Lorene Walker of Marshalltown, IA; four brothers, Jerry Martin of Los Animas, CO., Bob Martin (Audrey) of Ottumwa, IA, Richard Martin of Newton, IA, and Gary Martin of Phoenix, AZ. Bonneitta was preceded in death by her husband, Dale, parents, grandparents and one brother. Memorials may be designated to The Good Shepherd Fund at The Village.
