Obituary

Beverly Jean Reinholdt was born on August 23, 1944, to James and Josephine (Cooper) Couch. She passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at UnityPoint Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa, at the age of 78. She attended Patterson and Martensdale St. Marys schools. In the 8th grade, Bev met her future husband, Lee Patrick Reinholdt. They were married on May 18, 1963. Bev and Lee made their first home in Camp Pendleton, California, while Lee served in the Marine Corps. After his service, the two made their home in Churchville, Iowa. Here they were blessed with three daughters: Lisa, Brenda, and Melissa ("Missy").

Bev and Lee raised their grandson, Alex Behounek. Bev and Alex shared a special bond. Bev enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

After the girls were in school, Bev began her career at Communications Data Services (CDS) as a supervisor. She retired from CDS after 25 plus years of service.

In her free time, Bev enjoyed bird watching, especially hummingbirds, and "girls trips" taken with her sister and sister-in-law. She was an avid collector of bells and plates from her travels. Bev enjoyed camping, boating, fishing and time around the campfire. She became interested in genealogy and family history, and LOVED anything purple. She was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society at the Assumption Parish in Churchville.

Bev is survived by her daughters, Lisa (Robert, Jr.) Dooly and Melissa (Derek) Parmentier; grandchildren, Alex Behounek, Ashley (Nate) Thomason, Christopher (Veronica) Parmentier, Megan (Cody) Regennitter, and Jessica (Jordan) Briggs; great-grandchildren, Aiden, Brydon, Scarlette and Sean Thomason, Jackson and Gideon Parmentier, and Ella Briggs; sisters, Pamela (David) Jarvis and Angela (Paul) O'Mara; sister-in-law, Myrna Couch; as well as, many cousins, nieces, and nephews; and daughter, Brenda (Bill) Floyd.

She was preceded in death by her soulmate and the love of her life for over 58 years, Lee Patrick Reinholdt; her parents, James and Josephine Couch; and siblings, James ("Jim") Couch, Steven Couch, and Randall ("Randy") Couch.
