Funeral services for Beverly Jean Labertew, 83, who died Thursday, September 20, 2012 in Des Moines, will be held 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, September 25 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola, with burial following in the Indianola I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Beverly was born July 26, 1929 to Ivan and Phyllis (Nelson) Allen in rural Warren County, Iowa. She was united in marriage to James Elmer Labertew in September 1947 and to this union three sons, Darrell, Dick and David and one daughter, Judy, were born. She is survived by her sons, Darrell (Karla) Labertew and Dick (Kathi) Labertew; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; step sister, Ruth Riley and sister-in-law, Beverly Stevens. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; daughter, Judy; and son, David . Visitation will be held 4 to 8 p.m., Monday, September 24 at Overton Funeral Home where family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be given to the Indianola High School Athletic Department.
