Beverly Anne (Petersen) Krier passed away Wednesday, March 4 at the age of 65 while on vacation at Copper Mountain, Colorado. She was born June 6, 1949 to Loretta Helen (Frueh) Petersen and Henry Carl Petersen in Des Moines, Iowa. She graduated from Des Moines Technical High School in 1967. On July 22, 1978 she married Richard Kenneth Krier in Indianola. They were married for 36 years. With husband Rich, Bev owned Krier Homes in Indianola. Bev was a licensed real estate appraiser, an avid reader, loved skiing, and traveling. She was also a 30+ year volunteer for the US Title Series boat racing organization fulfilling duties over the years as secretary, treasurer, scorer, and starter. She was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, mentor and friend to all who will miss her dearly. Bev is survived by her husband Rich of Indianola; two sons, T.R. of Hong Kong and Brian of Indianola; her mother Loretta Petersen of Indianola; brother James Petersen (Anita) of Indianola; sister Sherri Pickens (Wayne) of Riverton, NE; and aunts, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her father. A visitation will be Wednesday, March 11 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Overton Funeral Home at 501 W. Ashland Ave., Indianola with family present from 5 to 7 p.m. to greets friends. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Services will be held Thursday, March 12 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. The family would like to make a contribution to a cause in Bev's name.
