Born in Milo, Iowa, Betty had lived her adult life in or around Indianola. She worked as the manager for Kentucky Fried Chicken Restaurant in Indianola for nine years; she also had served as manager for Slater Food Service at Simpson College.

He is survived by her daughter, Diana (Jim) Dudley of Mercer, MO; a son, John Kading of Texas; two brothers, J. D. (Wink) Curtis of Pleasant Hill and George Curtis of Salem, Oregon; 7 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter.

Memorials may be given to Parkinson Research.

Visitation will be held from 5 – 7 p.m., Wednesday, March 7, at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola where family will be present to greet friends.
